i have had them since 2004. about a year ago the inverter died so i ended up peeling off the backing and my LEDMod leds shine through. i will prob get a new setup from Dooly (ledmod)

Yeah, I've had mine since 2003 and the inverter recently kicked the curb. It comes on once in a while though. I feel like they also get dimmer over time, not sure though since I have nothing to compare them with.

the S7's were never the brightest gauges (kinda hard to see at night sometimes)

how would they look on with just to gauge cover and stock lights and needles? you got any pics of that?

Jtultra

eh, I wouldn't think that would look good what so ever. I don't think anything would match the stock orange

i have it with the stock orange needles but i change the orange led where the gas part is to blue. I think it looks a lot better then stock and i ended up just changing the inverter to another one and for some reason it was alot brighter.

I had these for about a year and it's not bad or good.

The good thing I would say about these is that they provide an alternative to the LED swap / gauge. These are aslo affordable depending on where you buy it. Installation for these is also simple, just put overlay on and find a good power / ground. With the inverter controller, you can change it to either blue or green but the green looks tealish.

The bad thing I would say about this is that the back lit does not shine as bright as I want. As you can see in those pics, that is the brightest it can go. You will get multi-colors mixed with your OEM orange which will look kind of weird. You're going to have to find a place to mount your inverter if you want to adjust the brightness or color. You can only adjust what isn't backlitted by the gauge with the stock brightness knob.

Somewhere down the line I am going to remove this and get a real gauge. It just isn't as appealing as it use to be. I wouldn't recommended paying more then $100+ for this though.

Is that an authentic A/C S7 overlay? It looks fishy. Hey I could be wrong though, It's been over 5 years since I bought mine. They may have changed the design.

buying an inverter now...

wow i didnt look. is that a single piece? looks like an S7 ebay ripoff as the actual S7 is 3 pieces (each number piece around the bezel attaches on) also didnt notice, it doesnt say AC either

that is 110% replica ones. The real ones has the metal portion rings that go around the numbers

early model or replica or whatnot I think these look better then the current generation authentic ones...I've always thought these were ugly there's way too much going on, but actually that night shot with orange needles I think that looks really good. even in the daytime they seem somehow nicer looking more clean but I can't put my finger on it ...
