View Full Version : Fitting an 05 OEM JBL Amp into a stock 00 GTS AMP??
Hey Guys,
i've converted the entire audio setup to the OEM JBL off the 03+ gts's, but the amp has 2 different plugs, 1 that fit right in, and the other that didn't, what do i need to do to make it work? will it be safe to cut the plugs from the stock amp / jbl amp and re-attach them to the other plug/harness?
IMHO, I'd go with tapping in (vs. cutting) the JBL connector. If possible.

the entire wire harness? or just the part that connects to the plug?

what does tapping it mean?
Actually, if they take the same pins, you can back the pins out and transfer them to the new connector.

The whole dash harness. I went ahead and R/R my dash, body, door, and all three engine room harnesses so everything was perfect for a multitude of reasons :faint:

Ive never been able to do that... I need someone special like you teach me ;) MIDO, this is a much better option.
what does tapping it mean? Tapping into the existing wiring w/o cutting off the existing conector.
