White smoke is usually caused by antifreeze burning.
In other words, you may have a cracked block.

Check your coolant levelto see if it`s going down.
Also check your oil for cross contamination with antifreeze. This will usually show on your dipstick as a light colored, frothy film after running.

was the engien still cold? If so it was probably just a little water vapor, not that uncommon.

Could be a little extra crap due to the stalling.

I would spend about 0 seconds worrying about it assuming it isn't a regular occurence.

I love the "cracked block" diagnosis. Yes, it could be, but it could also be NOTHING.

ok giuys toyota called an said that my engine is blown you guys are right thanks for your help.

heres one more they told me that a rep from cali was going there today and that he had to look at it to se how far gone it is a head or something he metioned about the intake but not about the header and exhaust, something about it may have caused water to get in the lower part and they said some coolant was in there also so do you think that the warranty will hold with the intake on, header on, and exhaust on from the rep from californialooking at it today

Obviously I didn't ask the right questions. I assumed (I know never assume) that it was a puff of white smoke, not a constant stream of smoke that blocked out the sun.

How much smoke was it (that is a relevant piece of info).

Sounds more like a blown head gaskit, i dont know why a toyota rep would need to diagnose that...gimmie a break...BTW, i hope they dont give you crap for your header
