Hi All,

My g/f's '00 Celica has a bad water leak whenever she turns on the AC. There is a big puddle of water that collects on the passenger side. It has not rain here for weeks, so I am positive it is not a water leak coming form the outside.

I had similar problem with my old car. It was some AC water drain tube that came off the fitting. I think she might have the same problem. However, I can't seem to locate that tube in the Celica.

Does anyone have the same problem. Her warrenty is over, so we dont want to bring it back to the dealer unless it is really necessary.

Thanks!!!

Matt

BIG puddle of water... the Carpet is all wet. It might be atleast 3-4 cups of water.

the puddle is under the car or in the car?

sounds like condensation.

Is there a puddle inside the car without the A/C running? Either its alot of condensation from very humid air or a leak in the heater core.

It happened when the AC was on. I checked the hose yesterday, and nothing seemed to be blocking it. My g/f is driving around with the AC on and the carpet rolled up. I will see if we can pin point where the water is coming from.

Take the line off and use shop air to blow through it.Insects like to cocoon in those tubes thus clogging them up.Also try to run the A/C with line off to see if the water is coming out of the evaporator box.

I have the same problem, water leakage on the passenger side inside the car when I use AC and can seem to locate where it's coming from. Nothing is leaking outside, just inside leaking somewhere behind the govebox. Have you taken the car to a shop to get it fixed? M28Matrix have you determine the cause yet?

Your evaperator case may be split or cracked allowing the ocndensation from teh AC to leak into teh car - bring it to teh Dealership dude.
