I can't seem to find any sites that cover the 1994 - '99 generation of Celicas. I own a '94, and I'd like to gather some info...I probably know everything, but it'd be nice to know if theres something I missed.

The 6th gen was perhaps the least noteworthy Celica produced in the last 20 years. Sporting a 140 HP engine in the GT wasn't anything to write home about. Especially when the base Integra those years came with the same HP and less weight. For about the same money as the GT you could get a GSR that would easily out perform it. My little brother has a 94 Celica. It's slower than my 86 MR2, and doesn't handle as well. There's no point in even trying to compare it to my Teg.

Celica.net is a very good site for owners of the non 7th gen Celicas. I think you'll find it very informative.

There is 6th related stuff at the Celica Club (http://www.celica-club.co.uk)

What yakko said. That's why sales of that car was so low.

Well, I had a 94 GT before and I loved it :) The site I always looked at is located at http://disc.server.com/Indices/104013.html

That's the best for 6th gen stuff by far. Don't forget that you can reference other sites for performance stuff for the 5S-FE(GT model) and 7A-FE(ST model).

If you have any specific questions, I can probably answer them for you...I spent way too much time learning that car inside and out :)

....to make it even worse, the GT model had even less hp in California (135hp). In Japan they fixed up the turbo All-Trac version (ST205), therefore little or no Japanese parts available for the US version.

As we can see, the market support for the current ZZT231's are not as strong as we like. I guess companies are still with the Hondas.

The non-Cali version of the GT was 135. The Cali version was 130 or 132, can't remember which.

Atleast the 6th gen came as a convertible.

Haha...I'm partial to the ST205's :) I wish I could have found an All-Trac around here a year or so ago...I would have had a second car. Would have liked to do the 3S-GTE swap in my 94 also, but from all the research I did, the wiring is hell.

I'll probably do 3rd Gen 3SGTE... Yes I know the wiring will be a nightmare.

Check this just for fun:

Some of his info is wrong.. it's 255 HP, and it's not an alltrac, it's a GT-FOUR.. but whatever. The reserve was set at $7600 for the whole car.. I wish I could afford it. AWD conversion + engine swap + brake conversion + hood and bumper on my car would be sweet... though It'd probably be cheaper to sell my car and import a whole GT-FOUR from Europe...

Of course this is just my opinion, but I think all celica's before this one looked too girly. But my friends tease me about mine, because I'm the only one who doesn't have a big truck or a jeep. But I can go anywhere faster!

The 3rd gen 3SGTE did produce the most HP, but the wiring made it hard to swap! The GT-4 was great but it did lose speed in the top end. A few weeks ago at a FL meet I saw a GT-4 (4th gen) go against a GT-S (4th gen) with the 3SGTE swap and they were pretty even till they hit 100mph and the GT-S pulled about half a car length ahead!

if there have a 6th gen celica GT-4 /turbo us version, I would like the 6th gen one. Anyway, only japan or asia have that.

Yeah I was gonna get a 6th gen because I thought they still came in GT-4 trim but a friend told me they stopped that a while back I was dissappointed:(

the 6th gen only came in GT4 trim overseas....which generation do you think had the best GT4 trim?

also the 3S-GTE fits into the 6th gen a lot better than the 7th gen ;)

I'd say the 5th gen looked the best in GT-4 it looked more of an off road ride than the others, but my favorite is still the 6th gen!!!

That's pretty funny what was posted on eBay from a couple of posts back. They had to cut it in half to get it here legally and chop that baby up...brings tears to my eyes just looking at the picture, but still...:hitit:
