Suspension question....

Hello all... my next mod will be a drop to my celi.... idk too much about suspension i was wondering if u guys could help me with some questions... i really want quality but without spending too much i want to spend around $500 maybe less..is it cheaper to buy the struts and shock separate to the springs or just buying coilovers? and what are good brands out there... your opinions will be a great help for me ty....

separate is best price wise. Coilover is better with performance IF tuned right... how low do you wanna go?

if it's little - then Tein S.tech's and Eibach Pro kit is your best bet IMO. i am with pro kit and like them very much.

It all depends on what you want from your suspension. If you just want to lower the car with some added performance to it, you could also do a spring/shock combo. For around 500 you can definitely build a pretty decent set up.

tell us wat u want out of ur suspension, that will better help us give u some ideas of wat suspension combo will work best for u and ur driving ability.

but if ur looking for a fast answer then id suggest Hotchkis springs with KYB GR2 struts. they offer great performance for a baseline setup, is well within ur budget.

Do what he suggests, if your only looking for a good amount of drop but have somewhat some performance. They aren't the most aggressive drop, but enough to make a difference. They also have a progressive spring rate which will correlate into some great handling. I had a set before i moved onto full coilovers but i would have kept them if i was going for a spring/shock combo. If you want ajustability you could move up to the kyb agx's from the gr2. Both are within your price range. Just pick out your springs and get some matching dampers and your set. Either way get it dropped.

ty for your opinions guys... what i want is just more on appearance than performance..... with 500$ i searched on ebay this combo
KYB GR2 Struts/Shocks 308.76 + Tein S Tech springs 174.00 is this a good combo? anybody who has use this set any pics what will look like installed? i will look up the hotchkis springs...ty again for the opinions it helps me a lot

The Skunk2 Coilovers=285.99 why are they so cheap compare to the other coilovers do i need to buy anything extra if a buy these coilovers?

i bought mine on ebay for even cheaper like 160ish if iremember correctly.. they are more like adjustable springs rather then coilovers.. when coilovers are the whole assembly with struts.

if u want a set of skunk 2 coils pm worrplyr... he has the full set and low miles on them... im sure he would let em go cheap
