I have to go to court on the 22nd for my recent speeding/Seatbelt Ticket. I have heard several rumors such as automatic suspension for 3 violations in one Year.
I personally haven't been in a courthouse since I was 16 and that was Nebraska. Anyone know what to expect?
Is the 3 strikes thing true?
Can you take traffic school if you haven't before and it isn't your first offense in the last 12 months?
If ya'll know anything please get back to me thanks
Eric.

Hey just ask for traffic school and if they dont give it to you ask for and supervision they should be able to give you one or the other. If you want a layer let me know.

Do you know a lawyer I could talk to on the phone and not have to pay an arm and a leg for the consultation? That would be a good start.

What you heard is true. It is a automatic suspension for 3 tickets, and it is actually less if you are under 20 or 21. However if you haven't had any violations then you should have no problem getting supervision. If you have had violations just get a lawyer and you'll be fine. From when I turned 16 until I was 20 I had about 5 speeding tickets, and I got supervision on all of them. Then after 20 I managed to get 7 tickets in two and a hlaf months. Got my license suspended and then I got arrested twice for driving on a suspended. I got a lawyer and had all the decisions reversed and was put on supervision for every one of the violations, and none of the tickets or the arrests were reported to my insurance. Worked out good. I went from being suspended for 3 years to being on supervision for about 5 months.
Basically don't sweat it man.
I Just resently had to go to court the 10th and it would of been my 3rd ticket in a year. It was speeding/no lisense plate on the front/ and improper lane usage. Cop was a true bitch. So if its your 3rd just get a lawyer thats what i did. He got me out of the tickets. I had to pay my lawyer 100 and for the speeding ticket was 77 in a 45, That was 125 dollors, and im on supervision for 100 days, Sucks but i cant speed no more.
