Hey guys, how do I get the scissor jacks from the trunk? Sorry for a newb question but I googled and searched the forum for a long time (not all the threads though) and I wasn't sure what the jacks were called -- I tried factory jacks, scissor jacks, emergency jacks, etc. So anyway, how do I get them out? I know there are two side compartments on the two sides of the trunk, and there is an additional crank right under the trunk carpet. Pictures would be VERY helpful! Thanks!
edit: totally meant to put this on the newb section, sorry

Yeah, basically, you need to turn the little O-ring where the crank would hook in a few times to collapse the jack -- it's slightly expanded in order to lock it into the compartment. Once collapsed, it should pull right out.
Actually -- do you have the owner's manual? I bet that info is in there. It's a handy reference for dumb little things like this, so it might be worth it to you to order one from Toyota if you don't have it.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I don't have the owners manual but I will look into getting one. I have all these mini questions that I can probably figure out myself by looking at the car/experiment but I really needed to take out a wheel quick so that's why I asked for an overnight answer. Thanks again.
