Not sure if this is old news but i found out that the new 2010 prius uses pretty much the same front rotor as the 2000 celica GT. So now you 2000 GT owners don't have to spend months searching for a compatible part. here are comparison pictures, they're almost identical except the prius rotor has 4 more vanes and is about half a pound heavier. prius rotor is the one with the black hat.

I think they're smaller, its a different part number so its probably not similar enough to justify a consolidation between the years/models

hmm, good find.
i just replaced mine a few months ago, but i will have to make a mental note of this
i did have to run around to get two rotors. (each store had one rotor a piece, i was like wtf?)

I still have 2 sets of rotors for a 2000GT sitting in a box. Please view this thread and PM if you want these.

Why bother searching for 00GT rotors, when you can easily upgrade to GTS ones. Scion TC uses same front calipers as a GTS. That makes your chances of finding some used calipers in great condition good, since they tend to be newer then 7th gen used ones. Then you no longer have search for 00 specific rotors. Think I got my 07 TC calipers for $75 /pr.

but will a scion's rear trailing arm and hub bolt on to a gt's?

Scion rear calipers are different then ours with different part numbers, so never bothered researching if the entire assembly would bolt on or not. Just went & looked at the rest of the part numbers, nothing matches for rear upper or lower arms. The hub with abs had the same # though, 42450-63011
My original intention was to find cheaper & newer caliper for the front to get rid of the 2000 rotor. Tc fronts were almost always newer & cheaper then Celica ones yet they have the same part number.

00 gt rotors are smaller and the dust shield will hit if they are any bigger..

Funny since I have an 00 gt with GTS front rotor/caliper conversion, dust shield does not hit. There is still plenty of clearance between the shield & rotor (almost 1/4").

I didn't have any clearance when I tried fitting mine.

Simple solution to that would be simply cut that small overhang lip off the shield or bend the upper portion back enough to clear the rotor. I was expecting to have to do either of those but I didnt.
