Wht ish a BV? Does GT have BV? If it does since this thing ish located under the stock air box, if i have an intake does that mean the BVish gone?

The BV is built into the opening of the stock airbox. GT's have it. If you have replaced the stock airbox with an aftermarket "intake", the BV is gone, already.
Hope that helps.

The butterfly valve is used to quiet the engine and make for better gas mileage (slightly).

It catches butterflies for you to keep as pets. I have quite a collection myself.

yeah, when you go wot, but sitting at a light, all you'll hear is a hissing noise. thats if you have the windows down and the radio volume down. intake's sound great on the celica.

I took my butterfly valve off early in my car's development and only found tiny caterpillars.
