Does anyone wanna know how to install the alarm?

I just got my alarm from UPS and planning to installing it tonite. I'll take pics and write up an instructions if anyone wants it. If not, I'll just dump the pics and not bother.

yeah, pics would be a nice help. I would personally enjoy the help and I am sure it could get up on the sight under the install section.

a- that alarm is hardly an alarm IMO
b- you can get the install guide from the dealership... I did that when i took it out to put in a real alarm ;)
c- if service can't get it, try parts... that's where i got it.
d- did i mention that alarm is junk?

The Toyota alarm is so freaking easy to install when you have the instructions from Toyota. It's just plug and play.

A significant feature, often overlooked, of the factory Toyota RS3200 VIP alarm is the "bulletproof" installation. When the directions are followed, it is NOT possible to have problems.

Alternately, there have been MANY discussions about alarm systems that cause problems, because of installation errors.

For those who do not require "state-of-the-art" in alarm technology, the Toyota provides acceptable features, reliability, clean installation and performance.

true... and that's why i installed my alarm myself.. no problems yet except for the proximity sensor sensitivity being different depending on temperature

I had the chance to install it last nite. The alarm was very easy. I think the only hard part was taking the dash apart, without scratching the panels. The instructions and pics really makes it dummy proof. It took me less then 3 hours to do everything.

Hey Bravo, did you get instructions from the Toyota dealer? If not, where did you get the intructions and pics from?

I am getting ready to install the factory alarm in my car too and don't want to get into it until I have instructions.

Question - does the alarm have its own fuse? if so where is it at?

The other day one of my indiglow guage wires came loose and I ended up stepping on it when I hit my brake and it shorted my lights out. I have the guages hooked up to the parking light, so that whole system blew a fuse. I soldered the guage wire back on and taped everything up again, and replaced the fuse for my lights, but now when I turn the alarm on and off, the lights don't flash anymore. It still beeps and arms, just no flashing lights.. I'm guessing there is another fuse somewhere I need to replace..
