i know nothing about these cars but they look really cool does all the models come w/ a turbo or r they difrent types ne info or cites would help

1. there were no 1990 models

2. 2 versions of the 2nd generation (MKII) MR2 which ran (in America) from 91-96: turbo and non-turbo. the turbo used the 3S-GTE engine, rated at 200 hp from a maximum boost of 11 (i think) psi. the non-turbo engine was the 5S-FE (also i think). numerous changes were made on the 93+ models, including brakes, transmission, and most notably attempted to make the vehicle less oversteer prone.

This may be a little off topic, but I saw this same style MR2 in Malpitas, CA at the illegals. He had a Japanese spec motor with a few upgrades. He was walking S2000s all night long. He was supposedly pulling mid 12's which would not surprise me. It was the sweetest sounding car I had ever heard. I am getting all emotional just thinking about it. :D If I ever had to give up the Celica, I would get an MR2.
