.. sorta. Well, I went to the dealership to get one, but they didn't have the one I wanted, so they are getting it from somewhere else. It may take up to 2 weeks!! bah!.. but I am still very happy. I signed all the paperwork and it's a done deal =P

I went ahead and got one with the action package w/ sun roof in "spectra blue". They had the exact one I wanted, but it was manual, and I wanted an automatic =/

I am a little disappointed that it is only a 4 cylinder though and only 140hp. What kinds of things can I do (as a complete newbie) to speed it up a bit?

Late.

Well if you want to speed it up, get a manual. hehe Seriously though, there are a number of parts for the GT. West Covina Toyota is designing a turbo kit. You can get headers, intake, exhaust, S-AFC, etc.

I remember when I got my car. I had to wait like 3 weeks for mine. I ordered a Silver 2000 GT-S 6 speed back in early November of 99. I didn't actually get it until the 23rd though. It was definitely worth the wait though.

I drive an auto-GT myself because I'm not into performance but into looks instead and this car is as good as it gets in that department.

But if you are into performance you should have gotten a GT-S Manual instead, or a GT-Manual, I guess it's too late for that now so I sugest you pay a visit to the Mods forum, you can learn a lot by just reading the posts there.

welcome... auto gt.. prepare to be laughed at, mocked, made fun of, humiliated :D j/k.... i have an auto gt too....love it...although i would be equally, if not happier, if i got a manual... but yea... nice job. appearance mods would be best route to go with an auto gt... it'll take forever to reach performance level with an automatic. have fun, whenever you get it. also remember to be patient. 1k break in... baby her.

have fun, and that's an order

Duuuuuuude!! Trust me, u want the manual. Sounds like you are starting to get into the whole import-mod phase... ull want the manual. You'll thank us later... trust us!

(unless youve had some kinda of bad expirience with a manual and totally dont want it)...

Just my 2 cents
