curious kit.

anyone ever made a kit that brings the front end of the elise to the celica? i think it'd be an interesting look. something like this:

i really like the front end of the elise, and the back... well heck, i like the elise, but i still need a somewhat practical car to lug around in. elise doesnt offer much in practicality, but if they made a kit like this, id probably rock it too. someone posted some pics awhile back with a celica that someone spent a ton of time on molding the elise tails into the body of the celi. man it looked slick. no one tried with the front though, i can almost be sure of that

lol nice call zero. i dont really know anyone around here who would be capable of the modifications to make it look right either. pipe dream for me i guess.

i remember someone made some lambo style front end for the celi, but for obvious reasons, unless you made some heavy duct work, the radiator would never get the air it needed. this front wouldnt need much of anything :wiggle:

this idea might actually look better on that widebody kit for the celicas... since the elise is so curvy, and the celica isnt.

If only you had an Elise's clamshell that you could chop up and have glassed onto a Celica front bumper.

yea, that would be considerably easier. the talent is probably the most difficult thing to find in this area. if its not green and yellow and has a deer on it, its tough to find someone interested in body work lol.

well if u got this for the wide body and molded new fenders along with a custom hood with some vents and vented rear quarter pannels than you would have more of the lotus look and would look niice =]

good concept just not too sure if itll go well with the car alone but hell if you like it, go for it

Looks like a really squished kaminari front with fogs on the lower grill lol. dosen't look too bad on the widebody.

haha these werent extremely time consuming chops... also using 5.5, so im a little behind the times on software. ill have to try the cali front. that would look better i think as it'll bring out some of the tte lip designs as well with the lower corner scoops. if someone else gets bored and wants to try the chop, feel free, it'll probably be better than my rendition lol

the elise rear end was molded on, the sides were custom and the front bumper was a custom job as well. that car was brought up a few times. its a nice 1 off

I honestly can't find one bad thing to say about this car. I thought the Celica was gorgeous as is, given the choice I'm thinking I like this body better....wow. The rear end adds some 'super car like" flare to the design. Thanks for reposting these!

Eh, I'm only digging the tail lights and the spoiler on that celica. Front end looks weird, rear bumper looks.. not too good imo.

i agree. however, the only thing i would change is those the headlights. i personally think those look disgusting on ANY celica...

vertical doors might have been a bit much, but if someone handed me that car, i probably wouldnt take them off :gap:

That kit looks horrible. The celica has to small of a wheelbase to pull off something like that. The only part worth mentioning is the tails, but good god that front bumper and sides look like an epileptic with down syndrom designed it.

I phrased that wrong, thanks for catching it. The elise also sits much MUCH lower than the celica so it's a matter of proportions, the celica has a wedge shape, the elise is more level. That celica just looks off, plus unless they are molded on it looks cheap.

If that whole fabrication was molded....then I might change my mind.
