install on the 1st gen and 3rd gen are the same....
theres a chance your vibra-mount might not line up....just leave it out.....
you *DO NOT!!!!* need to cut the ECU Cooling Tube on the first gen intake...
the 3rd gen install guide is in the install section on this site...you dont have to remove the bumper....you can just go in through the drivers side wheel well...

xactly.. there is next to no difference in installing any generation injen.. only thing is you dont have to cut the ECU cooler pipe for the 1st gen

Thanks a ton. I thought it looked pretty similar but the cut ecu tubes were bothering me.

thats exactly why i installed my 1st gen injen instead of the 3rd gen....
i actually had both during my install....and i figured it'd be easier and safer to install the 1st gen...
i ended up selling the 3rd gen for wicked cheap to get it out of my closet....
ive had the 1st gen for about 10 months now and its been through a NE winter...pleanty of rainstorms...huge downpours.....short runs upto 100mph in steady rain....
and no worries about damage from water getting into the intake....
which i believe is a reason alot of people got the 3rd gen (with the heat/watershield)

Check out the North East Forum for some Celica Meets
the only person i really know on the board is Tim (BlackGT) from the southshore...but he doesnt have a celica anymore anyway....
im sure we'll run into each other sooner or later anyway

OK, so i was looking around at the wheel well and bumper area but i cant figure out how to get either off. I was wondering if anyone knows of another Injen Install or a link to the original directions supplied by injen.

instructions on how to remove front bumper
if you cant figure either out....have someone help you cuz you'll be on here later saying you have a CEL....and dont know what the problem is....
the wheel well isnt rocket science either....its a few 10mm bolts and those pop rivets that hold everything thats plastic in place on imports.....
i think the instructions on this site are pretty self explanatory....hell....as long as you have the intake in front of you and know where the vaccuum hoses go you're all set....the front bumper or wheel well is the least of your problems...

Ok, just got done tooling around and the intake seems fine. No CEL and it only lags a little around 5k. Pulls a ton harder now in lift. Thanks for all the help though.
