Ok for years now my alarm hasn't been working. So I have no alarm but lucky no one has broken into it again. The first time my car was broken into they cut two black wires and one blue wire from under the steering wheel what I think is the alarm. A small kinda like box. I'm tired of not having an alarm and want to fix it. Been searching into stickys and the celica manual but cannot find the help to fix my alarm. Now I used a tester to see if its getting current and the blue wire has current. When I touch it with my tester the red alarm light comes on. But the balck wires don't show current. Help please I'm lost. Thanks :gap:

Alright thanks I'll hit him up. I did find out thought that the little red light that is under the steering wheel has one black wire and splits up to three small wires. Two black and one blue. When I used my tester for current and touched the blue wire it made the light turn red, my tester said it was negative. So I'm guess those wires are just for the light. But I also found out that there is another wire that is not connected to anything. It comes out of the KARR box but it's just hanging. I touched that wire to metal and used my test for current and said it was positive. Thats were I got to and couldn't solve it... I'll pm him though hopefully I solve it soon. Getting my car painted and I don't want to be without an alarm. Even a stock one would be great for now.

I did find out thought that the little red light that is under the steering wheel Doesn't sound like a "factory" alarm.

It comes out of the KARR box? :wtf:

I also advise you to stop testing current before you blow a fuse. Use voltage & resistance measurements.

Ok I will do that, I have pictues ill post them later today maybe thhat will explain better than me trying lol. And yes its 100% factory alarm. Bought this car oct. Of 02, its an 03 model. Since then I've had it. And I haven't messed with an aftermarket alarm. Model is KARR2040A

The KARR is an aftermarket alarm and, from what I see online, doesn't have a very good reputation.
