Will the gts accept 2 din units with no special mounting equipment/trim or is there some kit I should get to do this. Let me know any info you got.

Stock decks are Double Din, but as far as a replacement double din deck your stereo pad should know exactly what to do.

Should accept double din, But some have said there will be a gap on the sides. Not 100% sure on that

I want to know if the stock radio location will accept 2 single din units not a double din unit or will there need to be modifications or kit to buy. Has anyone done this.

Your stereo shop should be able to fit a single din, and put a custom cubby hole in. Mounts quite cleanly.

Guys, read carefully, he wants to know if the stock opening will fit TWO single din units, LOL!
To answere your question, yes, the factory opening will fit two single din units without any cutting. The two units will fill out the height of the opening perfectly, but as mentioned, the aftermarket head units are not as wide as the factory one so there will be a small amount of open space on the sides of the stereo that will need to be filled with something to fill the gap. Whatever you do to fill the gap on the sides of the units will have to be custom because there are no kits for it. It shouldn't be hard at all though, a local car audio store should be able to do it pretty cheap.
I have two single din units in my car, just so you know. Sorry, I don't have any pics of it to show you what I did to fill the gaps on the sides. There are pics of other peoples setups floating around on this website, though.
