think i can lemon my car. i had it for 24hrs the trans, fuel pump, engine and other stuff blew the second day. they have had it for over 2 months now and i was supposed to pick it up yesterday but they went to take it out for a test drive cause it was "fixed" and it broke down and had to be towed back to the dealership. they think they blew out the bottom half of the engine now! what the hell. i have made two fricking payments on a car i have driven for one day and i have paid insurance on a car i cant use. is this good enough for lemoning?

The lemon laws vary from state to state. You might want to see if your state government or motor vehicles department has a website with the information you're looking for. You definitely sound like you should qualify, but the laws have different specifications and criteria for what can be considered a lemon and what is just bad luck.
You also might want to try a search. There are quite a few members who have been through this with their Celicas before. Both GT and GTS models have been lemoned by members on this board. Hopefully some of them will read this and respond. You also might want to see if the moderators will move this to the General forum for you. Not too many people read the Newbie section (or so it seems from the lower post numbers).
Good luck. Hope you get your car fixed soon.

Aren't the toyota dealer suppose to fix your car for free due to the warrantly they gave you? Because it sounds like there ish something wrong with the car in the first place, so why pay for something that isn't your fault

Just out of curiosity, how do you get so many mods on your car only having it 24 hours. Anyhow the description sounds like a major misshift. I think the lemon law requires three strikes for the same problem. With all those mods, and the appearent blown engine you'll have a hard time trying to get anything lemoned.

Notice his sig also says he has a 2000 GTS that he bought in May of 2002. He probably bought the car with the mods already on it. Duh....
