I've done multiple searches on nc.org for the standard length TRD exhaust with a TRD rear valence bumper, but I can't find a single photo.

Has anyone come across one? I feel that this post should be in appearance b/c I am wanting to see how it would look like aesthetically.

p.s. I want the extended length TRD but that's discontinued and there's someone wanting to sell me the standard one. Maybe I could take it to a shop and have the tip extended? what do y'all think?

TIA

I like the standard once cause it looks more like stock and a little less ricey imo. However, with that bumper i'm not sure if it will melt the bumper at all. I wouldn't think it would though.

if u extend it.. do it behind the flange of the tail pipe. it'll hid the extension.

you probably drive like a old lady so the exhaust doesn't have time to be hot...:gap: but,ive see some that are for sale that have burn marks

My greddy sits recessed like the pics above. I was worred about melting/burning but I've been monitering it for the past month and so far so good.

I would have to agree.

While we are on the subject.. anyone want to post any pics of the TRD extended exhaust on the TRD bumper?

^^agreed as well, when time permits I want to move mine out a bit by having the exhaust shop mess with the rubber stock hangers and bending the exhaust metal ones. I got underneath car and messed around last week and it should work with just those procedues without cutting or we welding.

The extended length exhaust is perfect for the TRD rear valance. You should get the tip extended a bit to make it fit better. It will look much better.

Re: TRD bumper

I installed it with my father. Actually, he did most of the work and it was more like me assisting him lol (he's a toyota mechanic). What part did you have trouble with? I remember it wasn't so easy to take it off. I think I lost a clip while installing it :D

I'm wondering if i fix it by the 2 side with the factory screws of the rear bumper and in the middle put glue or someting. I don't want to damage the orignal bumper and to the lip comes off the car when i'm doing 140mph lol...

Use double sided sticky tape (3M). Line the inside of the lip where it attaches to the surface of the bumper itself and on the indside of the middle portion where it attaches to the lower black part of the bumper. Use two self tapping screws per side by the inner wheel well.

After you have lined the inner bumper with 3M tape peel a little bit of the backing off so it serves as a tab so you can actually fit the lip to the bumper. Gives you some play to move things around before the tape sticks to the bumper. After you have fitted the lip, use the tab to peel the reminder of the tape backing off. It's a simple process. I installed mine in 20min granted my wheels were already off.

^ah I forgot that I did a straight swap. I had the OEM bumper with WW rear valence and I had swapped it for an OEM bumper with the TRD rear valence. So if you are asking about putting on the TRD rear valence under the OEM bumper, then i would follow SmutasticGT's comments.

p.s. I bought the standard length TRD exhaust from a local member tonight. He found me an extended TRD tip too for some extra $$. So now I have both standard and extended tips. Score!

Pic below is just the extended tip.
