ok i bought my 2000 gts on may 11 and on may 12 my trans blew and my fuel pump and many parts of my engine. 19 total parts were destroyed. yes it was a misshift. covered under warrenty. well if you look at todays date it is july 10. they have had my car for two fricken months and i dont have it back. well that is ok cause i want it done right. well i had my mechanic throw in a trd clutch kit and a fidanza flywheel. so i got that done for free. nice right? well this week (tuesday) the dealership calls me up and says hey you can come pick your car up at like 4:30 and it will be ready. they said the service manager is taking it out to make sure it is ok. well i get a call back in about an hour. turns out the car broke down and had to be towed. well the service manager actually misshifted when he was beating the **** out of my car and blew the entire engine, which also means my trd clutch went bye bye and perhaps my flywheel. what the hell. can i lemon this peice of ****?

Well if you want instant gratification, do a search. I know I have gone over it many times for many different people here.

i'm not too sure about the whole "lemon thing" but...i just got something to say.....i have gone threw a misshift(friend misshifted mine) and i kinda know what ur talking about.....there are many people that have 10x problems that u are having w/ ur car.....i'v read alot of cases after rebuilding the engine, there have been weak motors......on the other hand, there has been more powerfull motors..... a few months of driving it after the "new" engine....i say then decide if u wanna "lemon" it or not....u might get a strong motor which u will luv OR a weak one......trust me u will know....if u get a weak one, some thing will go wrong some/most of the time but if u get a strong one, it will never cause anymore problems and u will actually feel the difference from the stock motor(so i'v read acouple of time)...as for me i'v got a weak motor cuz it breaks down every couple of weeks or months.......now i got all 4 cylinders misfiring and lost compression:( ......my point of is that u stick w/ it for acouple of months and see what u get back and then decide....that's just my OPINION
good luck regardless

No, I don't see how the lemon law applies here.
First, it is a used car (makes lemoning it much more difficult).
Second, the car didn't suffer a breakdown without cause. YOU BLEW IT UP (misshift). You can't lemon-law a car because you crashed it, so I don't see how you can do it because you screwed up while driving it.
On the other hand, now you do ahve a pretty good bargaining position with the dealership. Their guy trashed it. Demand a new engine, a new transmission, full replacement of your aftermarket parts, or say they can give you a full refund (they might do it).

well as stated on lemonlaw.com certified cars are just as easily lemon lawed than brand new ones. also it only had 7500 fricken miles on it. i drove it for 24hrs. the fact is that toyota built the engines weak and they cant handle a misshift. i know people who have misshifted in other cars and not had a problem.

the "weak" engine argument again.
Too bad we can't lemon law the drivers who can't drive. The car isn't weak, it can handle being driven within the limits it was designed for.
YOU blew it up (and admit it), they do you a favor by fixing it, and this is how you repay them.
Next time buy an RSX-S, that way you will be happy when they say it's your fault and YOU have to pay.

Good call Scott,
This is incredible. They are covering your mistake. Do a search on clubrsx.com
ACURA WILL NOT COVER A MISSHIFT PERIOD.
They also have issued a statement saying that any 1-2 grind issues are simply driver related and/or just a "car needs to warm up" thing.
I mean, they are covering your mistake. Weak engine..... ppffftt . I put this thing through hell, all day every day, then I take it to autoX/ road course's on weekends...
People wanna help you on here, but you are going at this the entirely wrong direction.
