...it would be really helpful if someone had a pic of them installed on 03+ tails. :gap:
i've seen those before, i think they look great, but for $40, i'll pass.
Do they fold? If not, how do you insert them?

you fold them by hand.. and after you inserted them into the socket. the spring pops them open. seen them before. reminds me too much of a mercedes logo.

i was gonna say, they look like the light output would suck... and they dont look too hot on the examples posted on the page. ive seen these go new, from the actual 'maker' for 120... theyre outrageous. i think the original creators of these had a much brighter model though, with way more leds, firing in all directions to fill the reflector area better than that ebay one you linked.
ive got an led bulb in my 03+ tails, but its just a circular style, with a TON of radially firing, and i think 9-12 forward firing leds as well. very happy with the light output of them as well. look terrific at night for certain.

Could you post some pics of those for me? ^^
Im trying to buy really bright leds for my brakes and blinkers....so they will shine through the tint better. :gap:
Thanks for the input guys!!
....oh Zero, I was thinking the same thing. but if you scroll down the page, it shows how they fold so you can install them.

If those were reversed (light aiming backwards), they would work well, or at least decently. The way they're set up now, you'll only see the light from the LEDs, not the housing, and they'll be pretty dim.

There are a few leds mounted to the back so they shine towards the housing, but your right, I think it might be pretty dim as well.

Im know im just gonna end up buying from superbrightleds again, or just go the ebay route. I think Hombre said he just got his brake lights off ebay. Im just worried about them crapping out on me.

for that price get these... http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/servlet/the-419/7440-7443-T20-LED/Detail Much better quality, lifetime warranty and they have more led's than those, and look much better. I run these exact ones and love them. Wouldnt trade them for anyother bulb. and Really fast shipping.

ive got some very similar to these, and they work great, but i cant vouch for light output through tint.
