It could be dirty or bad injectors or worse yet, bent or worn valves.

i recently had a full head job done.... so i think the valves shouldn't b a problem, but m not sure abt the injectors....(m sorry for my limited knowledge)...... can u tell me whr the injector is located......

also at first i used to get missfire codes from only cylinder 2, then i swapped the coil, now i get cylinder 2 missfire as well as random multiple cylinder miss fire.....

what possibly cud the prob be...plz help.

thanks

Have you checked your MAF sensor?

can a faulty MAF can trigger missfire code??

It can but you wouldn't get cilinder-specific misfires. The fuel injectors are the yellow tubes on the intake manifolds, they are located under the L-shaped VVTL-i plastic.

Yeah check your injectors. I've got a cylinder 3 misfire. Unfortunately for me, I have super low compression in cylinder 3, probably bent valve. Oops on my part. I really hope that it's your injector and not something worse.

but you wouldn't get cylinder-specific misfires. Yes, you would.

Let me rephrase: As far as I understand when the MAF causes misfires you will get the random misfire code (P0300) as well as misfire codes for all the cylinders (P0301-0304) but not a misfire for one specific cylinder only.

When there is a specific code for one cylinder it usually points towards a problem specific to that particular cylinder.

i get this code often as well. And it's usually at random times when im just cruising, or right when i turn the car on the engine light will be on. It doesn't seem to effect anything i can notice. I have had the spark plugs changed, cleaned maf, and i plan to have my injectors cleaned soon, hopefully that will fix the problem.
