ok so time for new tires did my research and what i wanna go with is some falken tires im currently on 215/40/18 really low with skunk 2 springs in the front and tein s tech in the back im taking the springs off and putting ground controls on to raise the car up a little. also i have 18x8.5 rims +42 offset and i hate the tires i currently have on it. so whats my best bet so the tire wont rub and best for my conditions. my car is a DD and everyonce in a while i like to take corners hard. im getting 225/40/18 so which tire should i go for?

Falken Ziex ze 512
Falken Ziex ze 912
Falken Azenis rt 215
Falken Azenis rt 615

im thinkin i should go with one of the Azenis seems like they perform better. also i like a real quiet tire, currently when im on the freeway my tires are so loud its annoying.

The 512 and the 215 are discontinued. The 615 will have more grip and more noise the 912 will have less grip and less noise. I recommend the 912.

orite does anyone here have the azenis 615 more grip would be nice because my car is turboed but is it really that much more noisey? also will these tires rub with how big and offset of my rims are?

yeah, the 615s are definitely noisier than the 912s.

when i was in Oki last year, i was running 615s on my 180SX. Tire noise made me want to stab my ears on trips around the island.

RT215 are discontinued BUT you can order them from tire warehouses online. i got a quote for 4 at Les Schwab for 550 mounted and balanced for my buddies STI. you can still find them and i suggest them cause they dont put too much noice and have GREAT grip if not some Eagle GTs

615s are incredible.

You will not be able to reach their grip limit in street driving.

I do agree that 615s provide excellent grip. they were a choice tire for a friend and i when we decided to run togue around okinawa.

Get the Kumho XS's. they outperformed the RT-615's in testing by GRM.

From personal experience, I'd say they are at least as sticky if not more and they are several lbs lighter to boot!

Alright so what i got is that the 615 perform better and seem like the wiser choice but the 912 is less quiet and also less grip. i really want to get the 615 because my car being turboed i want to have the best traction.

after reading these reviews seems like its a pretty noisey tire is there another type of tire just as good that isnt as noisey

I've had both. The 615 's have awesome grip, but the XS's are better and lighter...

yea i just got done looking into the xs they seem promising how about on the freeway are they a loud tire?

which tire seemed bigger overrall reason i ask is because i have a tight fit i got 18x8.5 with a +42 offset im hoping they wont rub. ill be rasing the car so they wont but im hoping i wont have to do any other work. ive read that someone with my same size had the ziex no prob.

if it does rub you can always roll the fenders =)

stretch your tire a bit so it wont rub and look sexy :gap::thumbup: do a coin toss between the 2.
