View Full Version : Just got lit up, but got away.

Hey guys, I was on my way home from work and from the entrance to my neighborhood down to the actual sign is about a 1/4 mile straightaway. There was a cop hidden in the dark on the rear side of the building that lit up his lights, luckily I got into my neighborhood in my garage and closed the door before he got to me. I'm not sure if he even chased me. He didn't get my plates or anything. I don't know what to do. Anyone have any tips if I get pulled over randomly by a cop at the end of my neighborhood? lol

unnless he does have your plate. But then again he could just read it if he does pull you over

Well I'm sure that my record would come back empty if he ran my plates, I've never gotten any form of a ticket before. The only time I ever speed is down that straightaway. There's not even a speed limit posted on it either.

I wouldn't stress it. Just maybe lit up his lights so you can slow down. That has happen to me here in ca. before.

You're probably right. Because he didn't actually come after me, I didn't see his cruiser coming down the road after I got in my house.

he knows that your not hitting any serious speeds in that 1/4 LOL. he probably just flipped them on to screw with you.

If you didnt see him coming down the road afterwards then he probably was just warning you. I would still take it easy when coming or going for a while.

lol i've had that happen, i had a cop point at me and flip his lights on, i pulled over but he didn't stop guess he was just sayin slow down.

Ugh, had similar experience before. I was maybe 35 on a neighborhood street and I though "man, a speeding ticket?" until he went pass me and go to 3 houses down for some domestic dispute. Talk about heart attack.
