I recently got my car back from the shop and they unbolted everything on my positive battery terminal, but when putting everything back together, forgot to rehook my amp wire up. So I put it back on, but when I got in the car there was a static noise coming from the speakers, the same sound as if you blew into a microphone. The sound is very subtle, but still there nonetheless. Obviously I knew what was causing the noise, so I reconnected the amp wire several times but to no avail. Does anyone know why the speakers are making this static noise? Should I clean off the terminal and the amp wire connector? I should also mention that the static sound only occurs when the car is off (i.e. cd player not on) Help is appreciated.
