So I bought a vis oem carbon fiber hood w/ raised scoop cause I wrecked my car. It is authentic by serial number on vis plate. I have to frame warpage or anything like that. For some reason though, the hood does not match up with the hood latches what so ever. I even have a little over hang on the front and it is pulled towards the passenger side creating a gap between the hood and the fender on the driver's side. Anyone had any experience with this or know of a good way to fix it?? Without taking it to a shop of course, that costs too much money right now. I am only in for lunch right now, but I will post pics up when I get home from work.

did you fix your frame damage correctly? do all other body panels line up? fenders, headlights, bumper?

Yeah, all of the body damage is fixed. What is happening is on the driver's light, the side of the hood is rounded a little too much so it is hitting the light. Is there a way to shave that down a little bit to make it match??

As you can see, it is off by a little bit and is overlapping the driver's side head light creating a small gap on the passenger's side. Any useful tips would be great. Thanks.
Did you try adjusting the hood before bolting it down?

Yes, I already tried adjusting it before I bolted it down. I put the hood up to my stock hood this weekend and it has a curve to it. I then took it to a couple of body shops and they told me that there was no way of making it fit, unless I wanted to pay about 2 grand to get it right. They told me to write vis and have them send me a new one since it seemed warped.
