I wanted to ask what components of the air conditioning system can I remove but still keep the functionality of my heater.
I don't want to discuss why I'm removing it I would just like to ask some questions in this thread.
I have already had the system discharged and I have removed the condensor and lines. I see that the evaporator is inside the large a/c box. Could this be removed entirely?
Thanks

i dont see why it would interfere with the heat, I dont have my ac lines installed anymore, i just have to remove the pump and the rest of the system in the cabin.

the thing is that inside the cabin as part of the a/c system is
the blower, evaporator, heater core and blower. the heater core and evaporator are contained in one unit called the a/c unit case. this is a huge black box behind the dash which has a system of vents which let you select what direction the heat or cold air comes from. i would love to remove this and leave the heater core but im thinking once i remove this i will have no vent control and the heat will not be very good since it cant be redirected around the cabin.
