I'm working on LED on my radio..
Everything work... except the LCD part..
If one doesn't work will others won't work either??
Just wondering..
Cause I made a mistake and one of the contact on one of the led... it came off... but I manage to rerouted to the next one....
Is it wire pararell or serial??
It's really frustating.... help..

Yeah man, I found the stereo a complete pain in the ass to work on. As far as I understand, those little solder pads are connected to the LED's themselves. If those dumb things are part of the circuit board, that could explain your problem.

Are you saying they blink from the current of the soldering iron?

you can power them w/a multimeter.... but yeah.. the stereo is a PITA to work on.. and yeah... the ones behind the LCD are in series 2 at a time

Ok .. I got it working now..
The problem was the first one.. the contact were rip off... so I had to get the small wire that is layout on the board... scratch off the coating.. solder that little mofo to the led.....
Then it works now.. I have another contact that was ripped off.. need to work on that.... now.. I've check at it works.... need to securly solder that litlte mofo wite to the LED..
Be very careful when removing the LED.... now with practice I have remove the LED with just one solder with out a problem...
Thanks guys.....
Driving around at night without radio front panel looks.. really dazzling.... mine is red.. so it's really bright.. everyone likes it..

see i was a dumbass when i finished up my gas/temp and i by accident i gues left a fingerprint on the transparency type of sheet that goes between the black piece and the plastic cover... so now the bottom of my gas/temp is a little foggy/not as bright
'
i was afraid to clean it thinking that it might make it worse...
it also seems the transparency sheet is lightly scratched on teh bottom which is prolly causing the lcd panel to not look as crisp as it did up to today :(
on a lighter note my speedo/rpm needles work now

Just clean it with electronic component cleaner....
Use none abrasive wipe.... make no dust are there when you put it back togeter.....
