Was driving to work at 4:30 in the morning and the cop came out of a driveway from a restaurant, its pitch black and his headlights were off so i couldnt see him for ****... i was playing music, the only thing im sure he heard was the bass but it was still not that loud and pulled me over, also got me for my tinted windows.... he did however like my car "nice ride man, i like it" .... still, cant he just give me a damn warning??!?!?

how much do you think i gotta pay? do i HAVE to go to court? and do you guys have to take off your tinted windows after getting a ticket?

exactly what was the ticket for? speeding, music to loud, tint? I'm not sure about the laws in California but I got stopped over here for my tint once and just got a warning, they said to take it off but never did. Have not got stopped for that ever since, "knock on wood" :wiggle:

for both loud music and tinted windows... the reason he stopped me for sure was because of the music at 4 in the morning because almost everybody has tinted windows these days...

I hear ya on the tinted windows , you are probably looking around $150 ticket for loud music. You don't have to go to court if you don't want too but it sometimes helps if the police officer does not show up and then maybe the judge will drop the case, however, this rarely happens. You can pay the ticket because since its not a "moving violation" no points will be taken off your license, other than that you can pay a lawyer and see if he can get you off but sometimes you have to pay court fees, either way you have to pay up something which sucks. :bang:

too bad, you were ticketed for loud music and just saw you tints and added it to your unlawful acts. For tints is only fixing ticket for free but 10 bucks for processing fee. But for you music, i have no idea. Good luck tho

I've received ticket for no license plate, that was about $65. Even though I mounted it, took pictures of the car, wrote an explanation letter, they've charged me all the way. :(
Still can't believe they did, it was my first ticket and I took my time to get it fixed but still.
I should have gone to the court instead of writing them a letter.

Not sure about California, but in Oregon you can:
Pay full fine
Send a letter to a court for review
Show up at court

Next time I'll go to court. You should as well.

damn, the good thing is that its until june.. i guess ill just go, but do they gotta see my car or do i just appear and pay up? i'd hate to remove my tinted windows because i know ill re tint them again, i aint gotta let the sun burn me up!

it was because of the loud music, he just slapped the tinted windows on the ticket because he felt like it i guess... fker!

where he was at it was pitch black because the restaurant lot had no street light.. so i couldnt see him until he pulled up right behind me.

hmm i got no plate tix b4 its only fix it tix, $10

tints you need to take you car to a CHP office to get your thing signed meaning its corrected then show it to court. Unless you will show your car and prove that your tint is legal tada!!!

i got pulled over for street racing another celica once..fortunatly it was in another county and he liked my ride so he gave me a warning :naughty:lol. he did tell me that if another cop would have pulled me over they would have arrested me..its funny cause we did a roll of like 30MPH and he was behind us the whole time, he even heard me do the "3-honks:chuckles:"

I would go here first bro, www.ticketclinic.com, maybe they can get you off alittle cheaper, only problem if you had other offenses during the past three years they make ask you to pay court fees which can come to 100 bucks, sometimes no but I can't guarantee anything. If not I'm pretty sure they don't need to see your car, you just need to pay the ticket:bang:

next time you get pulled over, roll all your windows down before the cop gets there.
Turn on the overhead light inside the car, hands on the steering wheel.
This way he can see you and tell where your moving.
The whole reason they don't like dark tint is because they can't see what you're doing.
This will show the cop that you're being respectful, and you might get off with just a warning.:D
