CAI Makes Funny Start?

This ones for you tech's out there: Ever since I dropped a CAI in my GT-S, it cranks alot longer before the engine fires on start-ups. Never used to. What do you think? Is it normal, or more importantly, is it harmful to the engine?

Its normal, u would've noticed the same thing if u had taken out the butterfly valve from ur airbox.

why exactly does removing the butterfly valve or adding a CAI do this?
