On a rear disc conversion, is there a proportionating valve needed for the Celica? I did a conversion on an old 92 Mustang and had to use a valve to regulate the rear and the front. Is this something that is needed to do proper brake tuning? Does the Celica have a factory proportionating valve or is it not needed?

i think some people change it and some people don't. i read somewhere that the proportioning valve is different in the gt and gts though.

Actually keeping the proportioning valve of a GT when doing a swap to rear disc conversion, will make the rear's more biased this way....actually helping a bit in the braking department.
All the cars are set up for a higher braking force up front (for obvious reasons).
But drums require a slightly higher pressure to match those of the disc.

wow i thought brake bias was the opposite on rear drums...
