Finally, I picked up my car very late tonight. Just finished installing antiroll bars, steering bushing and C-ONE final gear.

There are two ways to install it according to C-ONE manual. Install it like me, or install in upside down. If you install it upside down, you will not need the extra washer. You might ask, why install it upside down then? Thats only for people who load their car really low to the groud. You can use this bushing to raise the steering rack up alittle bit, so the steering output to linkage angle to the front wheels will be level up. My car not loaded down to the ground because I need enough suspension travel for winding road, so I installed it this way.

First Impression:
slight vibration at idle. if you are already using ES bushing (which I had and it was part of the kit), this vibration level is at an acceptable level. Steering wheel felt little more heavier then before. You can feel it is more direct and responsive then ES bushing. It gives your more confident. Again, it isn't that harsh if you are already using ES product.

great review Preludekid.

is there that much of a difference between the ES polyurethane and metal ones?

If you talk about a long stretch road, you won't feel that much a different unless you pay close attention.

If you toss the car in a round about really hard, the ES bushings is not a match.

wow that's a bold statement.

I will say it is a natural difference between metal and hardened rubber. Both have their unique features. ES bushing still gives you some degrees of comfort, while metal doesn't. If you are a track day guy or hard core enthusiast, metal one will be your better choice. For me, the Celica is my 2nd car. So, it is depended on what are you looking for and how far you wanna go.

Are those 4 Brass bushings for a rack?

I thought C-One had the poly/inserts on two bushings before? for the steering rack. Is that possible?

My bad, I just read your review.

Good luck on the brass bushings for the engine mounts as I can understand a compromise on the the steering rack.

That's insane for metal bushings on the engine for a street driven car.

I must be mistaken on what is going on.

I've had the ES bushings for over 2 years now, I never installed them because i didn't want to go through the hassle of having to access the steering rack and press out the old bushings. Your review is really tempting me to just install them though, i really like the precise tight steering feel. my urethane bushings will have to do for now, i don't have the money to be spending right now.

BTW, how many bushings does the steering rack have? 2 or 4?

No problem, I will make a small batch of it anyway.
Good to hear my review motivated you to do it.

It's a pain to get the bushings out.

Do the front sway at the same time also.

It's a pain on any real streets with filled in stuff that your car tires can travel in.

In Malaysia roads are different.

I would never do it where I live, but it's possisble I guess to give an added whatever to say you have solid mounts on the steering rack on a Celica.

The steering is damn good on a Celica. The feedback is good.

On a track only car I would agree with the track only solid bushings with solid bushings all around.

Good luck Many and let us know.
