Me and my fiancee had to go to the local honda dealership to get some stuff for her 2k Civic when I see this sweet ass looking 2002 Red Civic EX in the showroom.
Here comes the funny part....
Base Price: $16,700.
Price after Performance Package: $24,700.
Oh wait wait...ready to hear what the performance parts are?
- Factory Skirt Set. (Yes skirt set, not kit)
- 1" Lowering Springs
- 16" "Honda" Rims
- New Shift Knob
- Short Shifter
- White Face Gauges
- Factory Spoiler
Thats IT. That was all that was listed on the window sticker.
:wtf: WTF, just that for an additional $8,000 dollars?! :bs:
Oh well, I guess some rich parents will make some use of it, like a high school graduation present or something.
I mean wtf, I can just about get a Impreza WRX for that price (base options of course).
I admint, the Civic EX in all its candy red shiny glory did look pretty neat, but a $8000 performance package with no engine work?
Pffft... :gay:
Well, on an additional note they had thier "Dealership Civic" in the showroom this week. Some butt-ugly 95 black Civic thier Parts Department built up. It was horrible looking. :wtf:

Hehe. That's as funny as when the Toyota dealership qouted me a price of 30k for a GTS. I literally laughed at him, and laughed all the way out the door.

come on kids, duh.... dealerships are businesses, just trying to make money. They know there's a sucker born every few minutes or so, so they know that one of them will pay 30k for a Celica (or, feel all good that they talked the dealer down to 28k ;) )
Just watch your back when you go, and you'll be all good.

Yea well lets not forget not *everyone* can afford Supra's.
People who go, 'Ewww...a Civic!' are just being as trendy as the people who put Type-R badges on their car.
Don't be a ****.

Everyone from Canada pays that much for their GTS's. They aren't any different than the US ones, they just get screwed with the exchange rate.

Acura is doing the same with the RSX. Release a performance package for 4800, for practically nothing.

Yea well maybe all me and my fiancee could afford at the time was a 2k Civic.
We work with what we have, I can't beleive you don't see how you are being an ass by saying that.
I don't mind comments like, "Civics just aren't for me", but blatenly saying Civics suck (which is what you ARE doing in more or less words) is just lame.

Dont listen to these fools. Good luck saving for the Celi and in the meantime enjoy what you can afford. Saving for a marriage and a house and a life sometimes can take precedence to buying whatever to impress these morons on the internet.
