yes i did search around but i am still bit confused about.. i know getting a safc isnt a necessary mod but im sure many of us are intrested.. I know that a safc add horses, im not expecting to beat a supra but i do know it adds very little.. so since with a safc.. will i not be saving gas since it controls the flow of air? im stock in performance wise and I think this would be a nice mod for me to do, of course i am planning to get the i/e later on but does the safc actually have an affect on the exhaust? just the whole concept of the safc is confusing.. i just wanna save some gas =)

The purpose of the S-AFC is to help you tune your car. If you do not have any engine mods, then the car will run to spec and really doesn't need to be tuned. I really doubt you'll see any gains on a stock engine. The S-AFC is beneficial after you install engine mods like i/e as well as headers. Once you change things around in the engine, you will see a benefit from tuning it.
Generally with the S-AFC you use it to increase the level of fuel being mixed in with air as it's running lean. It runs lean because with an intake and exhaust you are increasing the air flow through the engine.
However if you're putting it on a stock car, you could lean it out to let less gas in, but you'ld probably suffer in performance.

I suggest you to spend money on engine mod then get a SAFC, so that you don't waste the parts you buy.
Here is a website for you to buy SAFC
