where is my transmission fluid located? is it the same as the brake fluid? if so can i just add transmission adutives to the brake fluid can?

Auto or 6spd if it's a 6spd no such thing. I think it's part of the main engine oil. if it's an Auto I am not sure where it is.

Auto and Manual Trans fluid is in the Transmission. There is no nice fill reservour like the brakes, coolent or power steering. To adding anything to the trans fluid you have to get under the car and open the fill right on the trans. It's not something most people do themself so it's not made easy like adding brake fluid.

Years ago I remember people would substitute one for the other (i think), but nowadays I wouldn't recommend it. Do a search, I remember there was a really good write-up on how to do it. Basically it's just like changing your oil except there is no filter. Do it yourself, it's really easy.
