lowering springs and struts

if i but lowering springs do i necessarily have to buy new struts?

no you dont need to at all, but if you lower your car the struts will wear out faster. i have goldline springs, and my struts are shot in less than a year

I have Hotchkis springs with the stock struts. It looks good, but the improvement in handling would be a lot better with better struts. I'm saving for coilovers though.
