Tire's for 19's

I'm seriously considering 19's and I'm not sure if a 235/35/19 tire would work. (I would like to go with Falken GRB's or Avenis. I know the GRB's grip like a mo fo.) Also, can I get away with a
8 1/2 wide rim? Will there be any rubbing? Will they stick out to far and look ghetto?

8.5" is certainly pushing the envelope. These questions can't be answered without knowing the offset of the wheels though.
