My Grandfather recently died. He had a 1946 Chevy pickup he had been slowly working on for over 25 years. My father always egged my Grandfather on to "finish" the truck and be able to drive it around Duluth [city they lived] and be proud. My Father has been spending a lot of time on it and it's now drivable on the rough streets riddled with potholes and steep hills. The truck means a lot to my Dad and it was kind of touching to take these pictures since it has been so important to both my deceased Grandfather and my Father.

You can't see them on this pic, but his racing stripes are the same grey as the bottom of my car.

I don't even like pickups all that much, but that thing is ****ing sweet. You guys planning to fully restore it?
I'll be honest, a part of me kinda wants to see it polished off and painted a nice hot rod gunmetal with some wire spoke wheels... :gap:

Thanks guys.

But as for the spoke wheels, my dad is more of a hot Rod guy- and spoke wheels are more conservative. He's into Cregars and American Racing wheels that give off a look of power. But i believe he is aiming for a full restore. Right now he's just getting the engine and exhaust set up and the body is coming last i think.

I helped him set up his exhaust manifold and pipe leading to the Cat. It's water pump is also whining and is about to give out. My Dad is unemployed because there is no work in Duluth so he can't do really anything accept keep the thing running. It's kind of disheartening to see him so.. ..desperate is the word, i guess. Either way, thank you for your support.

So you see, i have hot rods and such as my background, so when it comes to imports and some of the people on the General and Performance sections are harping on me, you can see why i don't know much about the Apexi stuff or Power FCs or anything like that.
