Here's the thing people.
I just got a job offer in Switzerland, and I'm leaving next week.
Obviously I'm not gonna take the Celica with me there. I'm going to leave it here in my garage.
I will be overseas for 1 year. Is it ok to leave the car parked for 1 year? without a start for 1 year?
Any advise?
what should I do?
Cause I don't wanna come back after a year and find all these problems with it.
Pre-Thanks for the advise.

you should put it up on jacks, better for the tires and suspension, also try to leave it with as little as possible gas, and before you start it change all the fluids.
however if you could get someone to start it every once in a while that would be nice.

Its bad to leave the car for one year. Why dont you just drop her off to me.

Change all fluids, and when you park it remove the battery, fog the cylinders with fogging oil, etc. If you look up tips for winterizing boat engines most of them will apply. Also plug the exhaust, intake, and any holes with cloth or tape over em or somethign to keep critters out. - Oh also a nice fresh coat of wax.

Would it be a good idea for him to drain some of the fluilds from the car? I know the car is practically new, but oil sitting in the oil pan and coolant in the rad and engine for a year without moving? I've never done anything like this before, but I am curious.

No, no, I think you're missing the point. He wants the car to be in running condition when her returns......:chuckles:
