One of the best fab threads I've ever seen, goes so far as to cast his own engine girdle lol:

madness....

I lost count the number of times he cast to nearly final shape where I would have machined from plate/billet.

...and all designed & planned with pen & paper.

madness.

I'be been reading this all day and can't stop.

This guy is my hero. Seriously. I wanted a mill, I spend $20K on a huge CNC knee mill. This guy just frigging BUILDS one.

It's not so much brain power as will power.

These things are not hard to do in themselves... just he painstakingly does *everything* from scratch!

That's hardcore! He has amazing skill. In some ways he's literally building the engine from the ground up.

yea, having to construct an engine out of wood first would seem like a completely usless step. NOT ME! although, that is incredible and I would love to do it.

Oh it may very well fail spectacularly. Doesn't matter - I admire his dedication and willingness to do things himself.

Then again, I built my own flowbench, and it works pretty damn well....

I just caught up on the thread. Yeah, simply amazing. Dude has no official engineering background he has just learned over the years. Gotta respect that. Can't wait to see the final outcome, even if it does fail you gotta admire the extreme amount of work and planning he's done.
