So.. my old aftermarket HIDs burned out the white stock plug u use. does anyone know what that part is called or has had this happened to them.. i went to toyota and couldnt find the part. and as we were talking he said it also could be discontinued.. IDK.. if so what would be the best way to still be able to install hids(i know its going to involve splicing and putting another male plug, would any work).. i wanna put Mod-Express. oh yeah my car wasnt HID to begin with.

I am just laughing at the fact it looks like that person drew a penis.
Off the top of my head, I don't recall if I've got the connector p/n list in the stickies somewhere. I think it was too big for me to upload. I've been a bit busy of late and don't know when I'd get a chance to look for you. If you never plan to go back to OEM, I suggest that you get some waterproof butt splices and just splice it. However, from the looks of the damage, it appears that you need to upgrade to higher gauge wiring to feed those HIDs. Are they above 55W?

The Dealer is full of crap...Go back and tell them to find the "Wire Harness Repair Manual". I have it at home, but I won't be able to get to it for a few days. That manual has a table of all the connectors ever made by toyota with part numbers. More than likely, you'll need the actual harness, plus the wire pigtails with the connectors already attached. Total parts should run between 20 and 30 dollars.
Edit: I actually found all of it on this computer....
Connector part #: 90980-10481
Wire pigtail part#: 82988-24140...you'll need two. See if they can pull up a cross reference for this because I'm not 100% sure that's the one that works with the connector.
And 2Way, the connector part number was in the stickies......
I just did this for the high beams.....cut off the old connector, then splice the wire pigtails into the existing wiring. You'll get about 6 inches of wire, so you have plenty to work with. I butt spliced and soldered the wire pigtails on, and covered it all with heat shrink tubing.....Then slide the ends of the wire into the white connector and you're done. 1 hour tops if you take your time.

yeah no he pulled out the repair manual.. but all it had was pictures of the connectors and we couldnt establish which 1 was which, out of the 2 prong connectors(it didnt show a side shot, it showed a front view like u were looking down a barrel of a gun so it was kinda hard to pick which one). but yeah i dont see myself going back to stock so i guess splicing is an option.. i just wanted some input before i make a decision.

Ah...well either way...the part numbers are above....You can always order a heavy duty ceramic connector online that has bigger wire and a heat proof connector if you're worried about it.....I've had 35 watt HID's on my car for a while and haven't had any problem. Maybe your set is shot...

well heres the story.. i had Xenon-Depot.. and while driving in the rain those seemed to have fried.. there was times when i turned off my car and walked away and i'd realized my headlights are still on.. a couple of times it would flicker in my garage one time i just had to unplug my battery just so they would go off.. soo when i went back to stock.. i couldnt find the actualy real stock harness wiring so i just stuck the bulb into the white thing which probably made it worse than before.. so for sometime i'd run w/ highbeams.. i was just wasnt always sure about getting HIDs again or going back to stock.

Go with DDM Tuning. I live in WI and drove in the rain at least 20 times this summer so far and not a single problem. Also these were tested to run submerged in water, and are 100% waterproof kits. (Lifetime warranty btw)

oh.. yeah i already ordered Mod-Express.. and i installed them just fine.. actually i broke apart the white plug and the metal pieces were still good so i just plugged it in direct. its just electric tape wrapped right now.. but is there a better suggestion because i noticed the pieces had lubricant on it and i dont want it to interfere w/ the electric tape suffocating them or is it fine as is?
thanks for the input and help everyone.
