contact BO "GTSnut" he will let u know...
Well that is my kit that I designed. I can say the word, and have it made by a company that we have been talking to for the last couple of months based in Texas, but I don't like the deal they are offering. I will be moving to Pennsylvania in two weeks and I have good connections to another place that's willing to make the kit too. I will talk to these guys face to face the week I get there to see what we're talking about in cost and production numbers.
The company in Texas is a company about 75% of the board has heard of I'm sure. They have been in all the mags for the last year that I know of, but they want 50 guaranteed customers, plus 50% deposit for each before they start production.
a) 50 customers I can do easily(hell, based on the email received, I can get about 150), but I cannot guarantee they won't back out between now and when the kit is ready or if they are serious enough to drop some dough. That's just a fact.
b) $25000+ in deposits is rediculous to get a body kit mold started. Absolutely a rip off. That makes me not trust them at all.
c) Being based in Texas gives me no oportunity to inspect quality on production kits or oversee and make changes I see neccesary during the concept fabrication.
d) Being based in the same city as the production company will give me face and negotiation time with the company in PA. I want the price low as hell and the quality the best it can be. They specialize in the molding of aerodynamic full race bodies for some of the biggest drag cars in the business. This will help me hit my original intention I have set out to: create a body kit that will allow the car to remain stable up to speeds of 140 mph without a rear wing. I have designed a wing, but I personally will be shaving mine, fabricating my own kit in carbon, and molding the sides and having break vent holes cut and tunneled for the cleanest, effective and lightest kit possible.

but hey BO.....
what are some of the dimensions you got in mind as for clearance ? how much lower will this kit be compared to the height of the factory parts ? i'd like to see at least around a 4" difference (imo - TRD action front is too damn.....)

I like the sides and the wing, but that front is shaped too much like stock... Very slick though

Good call BO. That is a lot of $$ just to make a mold. My sponsor had the mold made for my kit for WAY LESS!!

here's something to look at:
ViS makes a kit that is fairly similar to the concept one in the pix above. if you go to www.visracing.com and look up the kits for the celica, it's called the cyber. the two "holes" on the sides of the mouth are a little smaller, but i thought that it came quite close. hopes this helps anyone...
