very nice, im sure you'll get many compliments
get your car dynoed, i wanna see what, if any, power you got from all those mods
and by gosh, is that 5% all around?

nice car.....(excluding the rims)
Cabel

35% on fronts and 15 on back sides, 5 on back
Don't like the verdicts? My only complaint is the weight, they were supposed to be 18lbs I was told, not 22.5
Need to update my mods, sold the AFC. And exhaust should be back from warranty soon.
But power meter says 145 to the ground. Exhaust gave me like 1-2, header gave me 8 and I had the other stuff before I got the power meter.

Looks fan-damn-tastic. Did you get a deel or did you pay the 2G's?

Beautiful car, man. I love the verdicts. Everything ties in very well together - very clean ride. Only 2 small things I would do is either red-out your tails/get some tyc tails and get a grill for the veilside front.

is that a TRD_GT veil kit or the original??
Cabel
07-13-2002, 05:07 PM
I have vinyl coming to red out the tails.
It's neither the TRD GT veil kit or the original, and it's not Vis either. My secret, hehe.
There are grills in all openings but it's a pretty thin material, not sure what I want to do there yet.

you made your own veil replica?? Looks great though.

just a few things i would get.
a front strip(black not silver) on your windshield, cf hood, and rmm cf wing...
than it will be really really sick.
what kit is that?
how much did it cost?
and where did you get that scoop from???

Looks awesome. I'd leave the car as is... maybe red the tails if you really want to. Don't touch anything.
new wing and get rid of that R

I dunno about getting a new wing, not real crazy about most of the options. Red out vinyl is enroute should be here soon.
The "R" is Redlyne badge, name of our crew, it's necessary tho it may get relocated.

Nice car!!! I would lose the stock wing tho. Rims are nice, but I think its a little played out for the Celica - you need better rims to match a kit like that.
baNanA_ryCe
07-14-2002, 12:00 PM
get the vielside wing...that would reallly complete the look.

07-14-2002, 02:49 PM
I wouldn't start putting any CF parts on. Once you do you'll have to match it up with a hood. I'd keep it like that... everything looks good including the wheels and stock wing.

car looks nice man. only thing i would do is red out the taillights. which you are already doing.

Looks pretty good!

Nah I think it looks great with the stock wing. I like the stock wing more than most aftermarket ones. Even with a kit.

How much did it cost to get painted?
J3adSeed
07-15-2002, 10:42 AM
really really really really nice. maybe a little too much, but not really. because the kit is so crazy, a cf hood would go well, and a bigger wing is pretty necessary.
and its LOW, i bet it'd be a bitch to drive with bumps and stuff. the car just looks so big and bulky and heavy and slow, but i'm sure w/ your mods its not.
the engine looks great too, what else in the engine are you getting painted? maybe i'll just go all silver like that. then get the letters painted blue.

Dude, car looks great. I really wanna get that veilside kit for my car, but i have no money. Have you thought about going with the TRD wing? Just a thought, later

Love the car the way it is right now. I wouldn't get a CF hood or anything else appearance wise cause the car looks so clean as it is.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, it's truly been an experience.
No intention of doing anything else for a while, much to poor. (with the exception of maybe hosetechniques and a strut bar)
They were supposed to paint the small plastic that is like the second piece of the painted cover on left, it goes under the hood latch and such. Then they are also gonna paint the fuse box cover too.
I keep changing my mind whether I want to vinyl the vvti letters or not.

is it me, or is veilside a wee bit too common... on celicas?
Cabel
07-15-2002, 07:27 PM
Well being that there is only 2 in the whole province I don't think I am too unoriginal here, hehe.

Since you live in a area that gets lots of snow , are you nervous about it doing the snow plow action?? That is one of the reasons I am hesitant about the vielside, the front sits too low.
Cabel
07-16-2002, 04:16 PM
No worries about the snow, I won't be driving it.

Your car looks beautiful.. minus the headlight cover things.. I don't like those.. and your rims.. are just un-original, but other then that, it looks bling blingin :)
