Got a ticket for having red light... [Archive]

Last night comming back from drag race....
Cop pulled me over for having red light which is parking light and the bumper light..
I have the red LEDs... it wasn't blinking at all.. that asss was askign if I were police, fireman.. etc....
Since it was red not even blinking it's still illegal...
He said it's not even fix it ticket.... sh!t...
I had to unplug those wire from there... another assss...
Pshhhhh... he didn't see the RED turning signal light.. LOL..
I unplug and all and got home.. just little pist off..
It was warning... since it's nevada... if it was in california.. I'll be in big trouble.....
Anyways.... I'm still have have those on...
Maybe I can rewire here and there to have switch to turn it off/on when ever I want... LOL...
People might reconsider if you ever want to do anything other then Whirt or Amber what asss cop said..... if you live in california...

What if the bulbs are blue, but the light is white once theyr'e on?

Green. Red. All bad and very illegal... especially red. It is reserved for fire & police. Blue bulbs that emit white light are okay... usually. Turning signals might be the exception. I'd suggest being careful about putting any visible bulbs on your car which are blue themselves, because cops will use it as an excuse to pull you over and hassle you. If you want that, then that's your battle to fight.

I thought they don't really bother if they don't blink or flash....
But I guess I was the unlucky one.. I was coming back from drag night so there are other hundred fixed up cars.. on freeway bagging to be pulled over.....
Oh well.. if I get pulled over 2 more time cause of that lights.. it's gona go....... he he he LOL giving 3 chance...

well it doesn't matter if they blink...you weren't unlucky at all...it is illegal to have non white/orange lights in the front. Sorry, but it was your fault, luck had no play in this....you were bound to be pulled over.

I have never been pulled over for my blue LED's while driving and cops have seen them. They haven't said anything or followed me to give a ticket. The only time I ever got a ticket for them was when I got caught racing and they were checking the car for more reasons to give me tickets. It was probably bad luck, Sean.

i got a $60 ticket for the red bumper lights.. from the highway patrol goin to orlando from tampa....but driving around town no cops ever pulled me over...

In California signal markers have to be amber or clear in color.
Headlights are ok with the purple/blue...My wife has been lucky so far, hasn't been pulled over driving the Celi yet!

I had a cop follow me into a gas station and he told me that I had to take out my blue parking bulbs. Same story as you. I put the stock ones back in for now but I'm going to put hyper whites in em when I get a chance.

Green is illegal. I have green park lights, I was cited for them on July 4. I got a "fix it" ticket. I just replaced them, had my car inspected, then put the green ones back in. Most big city cops don't care about the Mickey Mouse ****. It's the 'burb cops you have to look out for. But red will definitely attract attention, along with blue.

I got three ticket since I got this car..
First one (two ticket at once)... I peeled out from intersection... cop was behind me....
Reckless driving and speeding.... dang it.....
Oh year... one more ticket added cause I didn't updated the address on the driver's license.. so total of 3 ticket at once... that cop was an asss......

then that red light ticket.....
There was one time when I made left turn.. with my RED blinker.... cop was on on comming traffc.. so cop could see right ahead.. didn't pull me over at all.......

It is unlucky.... most cops in Vegas... doesn't pull over cars just of the light stuff.... they are really pretty cool with modded stuff.... not like California......
Out of hundred fixed up car.. I was the one who got pulled over.... don't you think that is unlucky?? ^^ LOL

Guess I am just lucky as hell.. I've never everrrrrrrrr got pulled over in Kali with mods I have.... neverrrrrrrrrr... not even close.. In Arcadia (notorious for punk a$$ cops), this cop was right behind me and he could directly hear my loud a$$ Blitz.... then he pulls up next to me... checks out my car and just kinda drives away... that aint the only case where i got off...... numerous occassions where i could have easily gotta "fix-it" ticket, but i didnt....

Somebody gimme a fix-it ticket pleeeeeeeeezeeeeeee.... wanna see wat it looks like :D

Get your self a RED parking lights/bumper lights/turning signal then lets see if you CAN'T get ticket(which I have those)..... especially red, you'll get your self in big trouble in Cali..... ^^

Im in Missouri so our laws are probably different than Cali, but what about lights under a car? Cuz a friend of mine has an orange Cavalier with green underbody lights. Anyone know about these?

This reminds me of something similiar that happened to me. My b/f has a 3G Eclipse with red bulbs in his turn signals. One night a cop pulled him over, said "do you know what I pulled you over for?" B/f replied "OH! I bet it was my red turn signal bulbs. We just got back from a car show in Chicago and I forgot to take them out." the cops was REALLY cool about it. He was like "did you win?" my b/f said "no". The cop didn't ticket him or anything. So maybe that line would work for some of you in the future ;)

I was getting back from offical drag night... so that line must have worked.......
That cop knows all the people are comming back from that place.. cause I saw that cop while I was leaving the area.....

usually depends on the cop too, if they have nothing to do and feel like being ****s. i have clear corners on my bumpers with clear wedge bulbs that shine orange when turned on. bought them here in japan. bought the same type for my turn signal too because i don't like that orange spot on my headlights. i use purple/white bulbs for my HID kit. look like bright purple stars in your rear view mirror.

Haha...I had a bastard cop in a little down west of Charlotte pull me for bluish tag lights a few years ago, and he was asking me sarcastically if I was a cop or if it was a state-owned car, etc. "Of course it is, so fawk off" :) I got lucky though, after a few threats, he just left with a "you need change those NOW".

One of my friend got ticket for having a blue light inside of the car..... LOL..
And the pesenger got ticket(yes pasenger not driver) for no seat belts on....
It's just 4 little light that disply on the radio or console stuff.. yes it's Korean thing..... ^^
Can't belive cop gave ticket for lights inside... dang.... what an asss of asss....

I have LED red turn signals in the front. I got pulled over for pretty much the same thing. The cop told me to get out of the vehicle because he was having it towed.. since I was convicting a felony.. by impersonating a officer or emergency vehicle. I was like.. oh snap. Whatever though.. I still got them.. but use them carefully.
