Ive recently purchased a C-one lip, fabricated by Jintei!
looks great, super low n aggressive look!!
however... :AF:

the material seems fairly soft, and flimsy...? maybe its just mine?
Im comparing this material to an authentic Greddy gracer lip.

Im afraid that the lip might start sagging *it alrdy does in the middle a little cz its very soft and flexible.* and with my car being semi-low.. im scared the lip might sag and scrap the floor and GG.

edit "with the lip installed, i have less than 2" space from ground to lip in the center"

happened to a local friend of mine, aznk. His c one lip sagged on the high way last year i think and got demolished..

for the people who have purchased jintei's lip, how did u guys mount the lip? the middle part where the bottom slit is sags down.. pretty bad....
maybe reinforce it with fiberglass behind??

ps: im not bashing on jintei's product... just want to know how u guys installed the lip so its nice and even with no sag.
thx

i think this has been an issue with that lip. i know that when i saw my friend vicky's lip it was sagging in the middle. that was one thing she hated about it.

im not saying this is an issue for all of the lips. i have just saw a couple pics and noticed it. i dont think she even bothered. she doesnt seem to be in the car scene as much anymore.

You can try double sided 3M tape between where the middle of the c-one lip meet the stock lip section

Like the Vizage lip, you should have 3 brackets on the bottom section, all in the middle but spaced out.

I don't see why this thread is in the Fabrication section, since you're asking a basic appearance related question (but I'll try to make it at least go along with the section). Try to fabricate your own brackets. Buy some metal (sort of like L brackets but long enough to warp it into an Z-ish shape) that you are able to bend using tools (if you can bend it with your hand, chances are wind force can too). Bend it to that one end can mount onto the inner bottom of the C-One lip and the other end to the outer bottom of the stock lip. Oh, it should be obvious that you'd need to drill a hole at the ends of the brackets and a matching hole on the C-One lip and stock lip.

Voila, no more sagging. Be sure to use 3M stick tape too, just for added reinforcement.

Hi, are you using a heavy duty 3M tape along the middle part where it mounts on top of the stock lip and both sides where it touches the bumper?

If it's still sagging, try rivet and gun along the middle part.

Good luck.

It's sagging becuase it's not installed correctly and also because it's made of thick urethane.

If you guys want me to make the thinner one to make it less saggy, fine I can do that but it's not going to be as strong as the original one.

So the choice is yours, thick and install it correctly so they don't sag or I'll make it as thin as the OEM urethane but way less durable.

Remember, the lip sits pretty low, that's why I chose thick over thin.

Or would you prefer the fiberglass version with no chance of sagging? You can purchase the authentic one that costs way more.

But remember, once you hit a nasty gutter or a debris on highway, bye bye $433 + shipping + paint job.

perhaps i am installing it incorrectly.
ill add on the dbl side tape on all ends and add an additional screw at the bottom sides where a section of the lip sits in.
thx for the help :D
