Today was horrible.. i was driving to the lakers summer league game w/ a couple of friends and all of a sudden i hear a scrapping sound while still on the freeway... i pull over and i see my front lip has come off... i couldnt get it back in place so i just took the whole thing off... the lip is completely scratched and a local body shop said it would cost around 450-500 to repair it.. should i just go back with my stock lip or fix it??? im gonna go to college soon, so money is a big thing for me.. or should i go for a TRD front bumper?? is that reliable, and would it break as easily as the cheap WW lip?? please help?? thanks....

how did you instal the lip?
all wings west kits are urethane.
the kit shouldn't come off at all.
i think you installed it wrong because it takes force to actually try to get it off.
if you used the 3m tape on the kit and screwed in at least one bolt in each corner you should be fine.
just order a new lip for 190 bucks

Wow....something was wrong with the install. I've bumped curbs with the lip and it stops the car before it starts coming off.

i dont know about WW, but my friend had a bumper on his a4 and it also came off after about a year...when he brought it to the body shop, it turned out that one of the support bolts had rusted out (they said it was probably the salt from driving in the winter) and caused the side of the bumper to come off...my .02

Damn theres no way in HELL my WW lip would ever fall off, that thing is there to stay. Ive hit parking blocks and curbs, ran over an exploded tire chunk doing 85, hit a roadkill...it dont budge! If you follow the instructions to a T that came with your lip, it will take an act of God to get it off. The key is to clean the area well and use 3M tape primer before sticking the lip on.

When I had my WW lip it I had two screws on each side. When I sold the darn thing the tape was so sticky it took two of us to take it off the bumper. I even had to cut the tape cuz we couldnt pry it off.
