I know I was stupid, but I bought a 00 celica GTS, but the previous owner removed the check engine light bulb. Anyone have any idea how to put it back in? I'm absolutely clueless about it.

you'll just have to pull out your cluster and split open your cluster. i believe its an LED.

are you sure he pulled it?

how do you know the owner removed the bulb if you didnt check it yet?

well the lights out... and i see like an outline around the check engine light

put key turn to run position the CEL light will illuminate for a few seconds. If not there is no bulb

It is not difficult to pull the cluster. It takes less than 5 minutes total.
Follow this:http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=316972&highlight=LED+gauge. But solder/ desoldering thing a little bit tricky. If you have never used soldering thing, you should do a little practice on different pcb.

Also, it is not a bad idea to see the problem by reading the obdII.
