These two girls I know so piss me off. One has a stock 97 Mustang GT the other has a Eclipse GS-T both of them are not the brand new style but the one right before it. They were talking so much sh!t about how there cars would make mine look stupid. How they could beat me in reverse and what not? I hate that our cars are so underrated! The girl in the stock GT says she ran a 14.1, in Florida that is a tough time to run. I plan on racing both of them soon. I have a 01 GTS Manual. with AEM CAI so I might get beat but not by much I would think!

I don't think back handing them would be right, they obviously need a good spanking. If that doesn't work then you can race them.:D

I think both cars would be a close race. Spanking would be much better, I am working on that :)

Well they are women, so you might be able to beat them even though you are outmatched. I've never seen a woman that can power shift like me and if I ever do I will marry her the next day.

This should be easy, tell them if they lose, they have to give you double head.. enjoy :D

Your 15.0 must be going to your head. There are many gifted female drivers who would hand you your ass. How much physical prowess do you think it takes to powershift, LMFAO?

Stock 2001 Mustang GT runs 14.7 or so says R&T. The 97s don't run faster than the 01s. It was only a year after the engine switchover from the 302. It's not stock or she's lying.

Tell them to put up or shut up.

If you are a good driver, you would be able to beat both of them... Supposing they are stock. I know stock for stock, a good celica gts driver could beat both of em

Its not the brand new Mustang body style, but the one right before it. But 14.1 come on! Thats what I said...

14.1 for a stock 96-98 4.6L Mustang GT is bogus.. but if they can drive, they will both be a good match for you :)

14.1 in a 96-98 stock mustang GT is not happening. if it was a cobra, then yes i'd believe it.

as for that 14.7 in some car magazine....use it for toilet paper or your girls tampon, cuz that time isnt worth **** :)

new gt's hit high 13's rgularly now with low 14's mixed in.....anything higher is driver/track related.

I guess both of these cars are manuals? Cause if the GT is a auto you will win no problem, cause for the most part the auto sucks on the GT unlike the fbodys.

If she ran a 14.1 she would have some big mods like a supercharger or something cause the 97 GT runs low 15s stock.

Are they hot? Just spank them both on the road, and at home lol :)

Is this race taking place in Orlando?

she didnt run a 14.1 stock. She needs at least an xpipe and catback+a minor bolt on of your choice on to get that in a 97. (no she does not need a blower to hit low 14s, and no they do not run 15s stock-unless a grandmother is driving or if its one of the 96s with problems)
either shes lying about the time or shes lying about it being stock.

for the magazine racing kid: please quit, thats just depressing.
100% stock GTs run anything between 13.7 and 14.3 (excluding truly crappy drivers) consistantly.

Sounds like the race is already over before it started. The fact that all the smack talkin got under your skin is a sure sign that your going to choke and lose. Get some Slicks n a 60 shot then race them. If your goin to win don't win by a bumper, Win by a Bus length.

The preasure is on the person that does all the smack talk, and it doesnt sound like he is talking the smack. They are expecting to win by alot, so go beat them and shut them up.

id put a challenge on it.. like if u win, they both gotta suck your **** ;)

Sorry, dude. I don't keep up with Mustangs. I've never really been interested in them at all unless they're pre-70's. So, I went to what is suppoed to be a reputable source for decent 1/4 mile times. What is that saying... "Believe most of what you see, half of what you read, and none of what you hear." I know that magazines usually post 1/4s slower than some people can get stock, but they do that with just about every car. That still makes them a good benchmark. It's more accurate than hearing the BS from some people on these types of boards. How man times do you have to hear, "I"m running stock... oh except the short shifter, and the custom x-pipe, and the custom intake. Did I mention I was running on slicks?" before you get kinda jaded.

All of that still doesn't take away from the fact that 97 "stock" Mustangs don't run 14.1s. You said so yourself.

Oh, and don't assume things about people. It makes an ass out of... well, you should now that saying too.
