I noticed this auction and im totally skeptical. I emailed the seller but i really dont believe this. He says that it takes parts you can get at any electronics store and is a completely DIY mod. If this is true then how come it isnt on our installs page. He claims 20 HP gains and i have adjusted my timing on my older cars and seen a slight gain and a slight loss in fuel economy.
Does anyone know about this? PLease elaborate

Thats what i thought. I emailed this guy and here is what he said:
It is a resistor that hooks into the intake air temperature sensor wire
harness. It adds between 10-20 hp for your vehicle. This will tap into
your engines computer and tell it that cooler air is entering the car,
which results in more horsepower (up to 20 or more!) and more torque and
better acceleration. This is one of those modifications that takes that
legal barrier off and allows your engine to breathe and go faster than
before...it is 100% safe for your car, and can be removed anytime (if you
are worried about your warranty) without any damage! My car ran a 13.10 in
the 1/4 mile before I put this on, now it runs a 12.8. It helped my car so
I'm sure it would help yours. It's cheap, you can't go wrong with it.
Thanks!
Is this the biggest crock you have ever heard. Three tenths with a timing change.
PLEASE!!!!

Whats worse is it won't actually change the timing. IAT is a non-primary input in a MAF vehicle. All its likely to do is cause a CEL.

Well I actually did that in my camaro and got 8 more hp to the wheels since I had ported the maf, throttle body, and got a new airlid which made the car run lean as hell. The only thing it will do is richen up the car. But I dunno much about the celicas so I really don't know.

GM must use different engine logic than Toyota then, because with hotwire MAF technology IAT is only really worthwhile for fuelk calcualtions during crank & coldstart, and for establishing ambient conditions when you set a code for a malfunciton.
