I have an 02 GT-S for those who cant tell by my sig, anyways around 2 months ago, I raced two people from 7thgencivic.com at a meet we had and I only beat them by a car length up to 60 mph. I know this car is capable of doing better against a 127 hp EX model civic, but I need some help with my start. Usualy when I launch the car, I just hold the revs around 3,000rpms and dump the clutch and floor the throttle at the same time. So, heres my question.

1. Am I doing it correctly, and if Im not, whats the proper technique to launching these babies?

Thanks everyone.

On my 2000 GT I rev to about 4000 RPM and I slip the clutch... once it engages I dump it and go! I'm not sure it's the proper technique but it works for me!

well to start off, i don't suggest u do this cuz it will kill ur tranny.....but here goes.....rev it to like 3500 and then slip the clutch out......as soon as u feel that the tires grip...then dump it...other wise u will have alot of wheel hop:nono: ....if u do this alot/most of the time....say bye bye to ur clutch....cuz it will get smoked......but if u want to get a perfect launch get a LSD....it will help u out dramatically
